The Jewish Arbitration and Mediation Service was formed to facilitate the following objectives:

1. To endeavor to provide an efficient and economic process for the resolution of disputes between:-
   1. Jewish persons (and where applicable, their companies)
   2. Jewish persons and Jewish organizations
   3. Jewish organizations
2. To provide a forum that is compliant with Jewish law.
3. To seek to ensure that the process complies with the laws of New South Wales and that arbitral decision are enforceable under its laws.
4. To seek to provide a system of impartial decision making.
